Maya Menu Builder

Introducing the Maya Menu Builder! Use this tool to build your own Autodesk Maya custom file menu and store all your tools in a neat, organized fashion. 

If you've been wanting your own custom file menu, then you're in luck! Whether you're a modeler, animator, rigger, vfx artist, or whatever your VFX trade may be, this tool will help you be more organized. 

The Maya Menu Builder will help you host all the commands that you would normally put into multiple Maya shelves into as many custom file menus you could ever want. Your shelves should be a place for your most used commands and not a place for the tools you like to have nearby but don't use very often.  

Easily add buttons, infinite nested sub-menus, dividers, add icons to your buttons, and run both MEL and Python commands. I show you how to set up your userSetup.py file as well so that your new menus will show up when you startup Autodesk Maya. 

I wanted to make it as simple as possible for every VFX artist to be able to customize their workspace to their needs. You need a home for all those tools you've bought and used through your years in the industry. Why not finally have that place for all your tools so you never have to go digging around your scripts directory?
